Picking up where I left off in Part 1
Opening a Wedding Garter eBay store wasn’t as easy as I was told it would be. So many rules and limitations. (Not to mention the high fees)
At that time I couldn’t make things look the way I wanted them to look.
So many rules and limitations. I had limited number of categories I could use to sort all my wedding garter styles.
the eBay stores were designed to be very simple. And want I was trying to do was not simple at all. I was told many times by Tech support .
“For what you are trying to do. You need a custom coded website” I couldn’t afford that.
I was building my business from home with leftover grocery money.
So I had to make an eBay store work. I learned a little bit of code from watching youTube videos. And did a few workarounds on my store. A lot, a lot of work. It was crazy.
At that time I didn;t know anything about photography. I was taking pictures of my wedding garters on a pink background. (My favorite color)
Laying my garter samples on the kitchen counter between two kitchen windows. praying I had enough sunlight. It was bad. Most days I didn’t have enough light.
Sometimes I went weeks without enough light.
I did get a few pictures I thought at the time was okay. ( I can now see how bad they were. ) But you can still how beautiful my wedding garter are.
eBay soon discontinued eBay Stores. And eBay recommended eBay store seller move to Big Commerce.
As you can see I am not a blogger. (Not a good writer at all.) But I have to do it… Maybe I’ll get better. I have ordered a new book about writing content.
That is all for today. See you tomorrow.
